Hi Everyone

I need some advise! I'm in a panicSad

I was made redundant on the 30th of September. Luckily I have had confirmation yesterday of a job offer and today I have received the contract, which has a medical declaration in! Which also asks a about days off in the last 12th months, unfortunately i did have some time off in the summer due to a RA flare.

So my problem is, do i disclose my medical condition, I don't like lying and Im sure if I lye is will come back to get me, but where do we stand? Can they retract an offer once they find out someones medical history?

Any advice help would be great appreciated.

Thank you
Lou

Thank you for your reply Paul.
Interestingly, I called my ex HR dept for my sickness days and they only mentioned one instance which was non Ra so I think their not allowed to mention the Ra sickness as this would be discrimination.

Thanks
Lou

Hi Anne,

Well I did disclose it on my application form, but I haven't mentioned this to my Team Leader yet & I'm thinking I will needs to as I will have to be late in once a month because of our routine blood test.

Take care
Lou

From experience please be honest, but tell only those that need to know like occupational health (if work have one) line manager/s and human resources.

Happy for you lovely.
